His initial presentation, including video footage of the radiotherapy procedure, was very clear and informative. My previous doubts and reservations were almost totally dispelled. His reaction to my decision to opt for radiotherapy over surgery was delivered with great enthusiasm and confidence in the treatment, boosting my own belief that I had made the right choice. This same positive and encouraging approach has endured throughout the course of my treatment and follow-ups, helping me to maintain a positive and optimistic mindset. I don't believe I could have received better care anywhere or anyhow.

My Father has recently been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and been put under the care of Dr Das. During our consultation we found him to be informative, reassuring and positive in the discussion about treatments available. He went to great lengths to inform us of the latest research/treatments available at present and the passion for his field shone through. He also took the time to show compassion and kindness to the rest of my family present when we were clearly upset about my fathers diagnosis. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We were put at ease by Dr Das and the treatments planned for my father and feel very lucky that he is involved in our cancer journey. An outstanding consultant !!!

I am writing this review on behalf of my husband who has stage 4 renal cancer. We first met Dr Das just a year ago when my husband had been diagnosed with his cancer. He spoke to us as a couple, including me in every conversation and ensures that we both understand the next course of treatment. Dr Das is a kind and considerate doctor who explains every step to us in detail. He talks us through the treatment regime and always ensures that we know where or who to call if we need any further help when at home if something goes wrong. Dr Das has a great rapport with his patients and their partners. My husband was started on chemotherapy for his cancer which did not help and he was then offered Immunotherapy by Dr Das. Dr Das explained that this was a new drug and although my husbands cancer was not curable it was treatable. My husband has been having his treatment for just under a year now and although there have been setbacks with some side effects and a few admissions to the Royal Derby Hospital (where I must say he has been well looked after) he is still with us and still continuing to fight this awful disease. Dr Das has kept us updated regarding the future and we know that with stage 4 cancer my husband is in the "deep stuff" as he calls it. We also understand that one day treatment may stop but at the moment we are both positive and although there have been setbacks we feel that Dr Das is there for us both and will do all he can to keep treatment going for as long as he can. My husband and Dr Das have a great relationship. Dr Das is his consultant but he always has time to listen and never rushes a consultation. He explains things clearly and will show us the pictures or graphs of any tests that have been performed and explains in detail what this means to us both. Without the care and compassion of Dr Das I don't know where we would be today. I personally would like to thank Dr Das for everything he has done for my husband, for all your compassion, kindness and most of all for treating me as a part of this journey too. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Das if someone I know was going through this awful journey because he is the best.

Dr Das is a exceptional consultant ,after being diagnosed with prostate cancer Dr Das advised, arranged, planned, and had an overview of my radiotherapy treatment, following ongoing hormone treatment. His attention to detail together with his consideration of the patent was second to none,he is very approachable and he listens to what you say. He also involved me in a new technique involving protection of the back passage using a gel insert which did the job well. I feel so fortunate to have met and had treatment from DR Das.

I agree with all these reviews written by Dr Das's patients. He is such a kind, compassionate man who is totally committed to his patients. I have been his patient now for nearly two and a half years and although my cancer is not curable I am on a drug that has given me a good quality of life. He listens to any problems, he never rushes any consultations, he is very easy to talk to, always makes you feel at ease. So thank you Dr Das and your amazing team.
